As the head of the home, mom knows what technology is best for nurturing. So what better place to introduce Dropcam HD than at MommyTech’s Moms as CEOs of the Household panel?

Keynoted by New York Times Tech Columnist David Pogue, MommyTech highlights useful gadgets for moms and dads and the positive role technology plays for families. And Dropcam HD was prominently featured. Moderated by Digitwirl’s Carley Knobloch, Dropcam CEO Greg Duffy spoke alongside About One CEO Joanne Lang and BlogHer Co-Founder Elisa Camahort.

Our CEO Greg Duffy will be speaking this year at SXSW!  The festival celebrates music, film, and the “Interactive” in Austin, Texas.  This year it runs from March 11-15!  For those who have never heard of SXSW, it features 5 days of presentations from the brightest and most innovative folks out there.

SXSW put together two sets of fast-paced talks (think TED) dubbed “Future 15″ panels — all based around similar themes.  As a Future15 panel member, Greg will discuss video as an innovation in his talk:  ”Video Analytics and the Future:  Mastering the Data Stream.”

As Greg describes it:

The challenge of the future is not data gathering but analysis, trying to make sense of what the tidal wave of information actually means. Dropcam’s live 24/7 streaming with DVR, paired with social tools offers a new way of user engagement and data analytics.

Greg will be presenting alongside distinguished speakers such as:

  • Cameron Sinclair, Co-Founder of Architecture for Humanity
  • Barry Diller, Chairman of Expedia and Senior Executive of IAC
  • Reid Hoffman, Executive Chairman of LinkedIn
