Introducing My Clips: Watch and share your video anywhere

My Clips gives you the ability to save video clips to your Dropcam account so you can watch them from any computer. Prior to My Clips, making a video meant downloading it directly to your home computer. That meant storing, sharing, and accessing video clips only happened from home – and let’s face it, we’re not there 100% of the time.

My Clips makes it easy to watch from any computer

Simply click “Make Clip” from your DVR timeline to get started.  Choose how long you would like to make your clip and give it a title. That’s it!

Once the clip is created, you’ll now see a number in the My Clips tab at the top of your Dropcam viewer.  Click this tab to watch your saved video clips. My Clips makes it easy to see all of your video in one convenient location!

Click the video thumbnail to open the Dropcam video player.  Watch, share, download, and delete your video clips- all from one place. It couldn’t be easier!

Your Dropcam Now Has a Home Page You Can Share

Sharing Dropcam video with mom, grandpa, work colleagues, or the neighbor is even easier with Dropcam’s new public pages.  When you enable it, your Dropcam will have its very own website! Your friends and family can help you share and showcase your video through Facebook,Twitter, and StumbleUpon.

 

Sharing Made Even Simpler

Sharing video has always been easy with Dropcam.  We want it to be powerful for you as well.  From your camera settings, you can share your Dropcam video in three different ways:

  • Send a link to a friend’s email address using the “Share with a Friend” button

Your Own Personalized Dropc.am Web Page

We’ve seen a lot of technical users post their Dropcam video to their own websites.  So we figured, why not give everyone a personal site?  Sharing your video with Dropcam is now fun and easy with Dropc.am!  Your Dropcam comes ready to be shared across the internet with a special unique website.  Here are some of our favorites:

  • Share and ‘Like’ your video over Facebook
  • Email your video
  • Recommend your video on StumbleUpon
  • Share your video over Twitter

You Control Access

Naturally, setting your public page up is a snap.  Just check a box in your Camera Settings to get started.  As always, we give you full control over your video.  Should you no longer want your video to be public, simply uncheck the box in your Camera Settings.  Your Dropc.am web address is inaccessible if this box is unchecked.  In other words, you’re always in control of who sees your video.  

Dropcam is the easiest way to check in on the things you care about from anywhere, anytime, on any device.  And now, friends and family can easily check in as well with Dropcam public pages.  Give your new Dropc.am page a try and see how you like it!
